"There is no more dramatic accessory than a perfect lip" - and who could ever argue with Tom Ford, as he prepares to diversify the Tom Ford Beauty portfolio with the launch of the long-awaited Private Blend Lip Color Collection this month - excitingly the 'first chapter' of his foray into cosmetics.
The ultimate in luxury, the collection consists of a lip wardrobe of twelve shades from barely-there nude Vanilla Suede, to brazenly bold Black Orchid - personal favourites are Pure Pink, (a literal interpretation of it's name) and Blush Nude.
With colours inspired by 60's beauty ad's and films, Ford has also paid attention to detail with the finish, creating lipsticks that deliver smooth application, (that'll be from Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil,) and last all day, (the glossy formulas are reminiscent of a lip stain, staying put even after the infamous glass test.)
Despite a price tag almost as heavy as the gold-accented ivory cases, these lipsticks are pure luxury from the highly pigmented colour-true formulas to the TF initials stamped on the bullet.
